Terms and Conditions
Reservations
Reservations can only be made with a payment
of a deposit of $300 per person. Full payment
will be required sixty days prior to your departure.
Reservations will be canceled if full payment
is not received by due date with full loss of
deposit. Changes to existing reservations can
be made for a fee of $50.
Cancellations
All cancellations are subject to cancellation
penalties. The penalty is dependent on the number
of days a reservation is canceled prior to the
departure date.
More than 60 days $150 per person
More than 30, less than 60 days $300 per person
Less than 30 days No refund of land cost plus
penalty on airfare.
Once the safari has commenced, there is no
refund of unused portions of the safari. Cancellation
penalties on airline tickets are not included.
These are subject to the carriers' rules and
terms. We strongly recommend cancellation/trip
interruption insurance; details can be obtained
from your safari consultant.
Accommodations
Although we try and guarantee the accommodations
as described in our itineraries, there may be
a few occasions when that particular hotel/lodge
may not be available. We may then substitute
comparable accommodations. Single rooms cannot
always be guaranteed due to limited capacity
at certain hotels and lodges.
Air Transport
Air fares and flights are not included in the
itineraries. These are available at very competitive
rates. Fares may change without notice prior
to ticketing. Airtravel International is not
responsible for schedule changes, delayed or
missed flights, loss or damage to baggage or
overbooking of flights. Any such claims must
be made directly with the airline.
Tour Costs
Tour costs are based on exchange rates prevailing
as of January 1, 1999, and are subject to change
without notice. Tour costs do not include visa
or immunization fees, any expenses of a personal
nature, transportation and porterage at home
airports, and any gratuities to safari guides
and drivers.
Changes and Participation
Airtravel International and/or Wildlife Safaris,
Kenya, reserve the right to make changes to
any arrangements warranted by circumstances.
Participation in a tour or safari may be refused
for any reason, or for causing a hazard or inconvenience
to other passengers. Participants should note
that some of our safaris involve driving over
rough/unpaved roads, which can cause some discomfort.
A physician’s letter is required for participation
in a tour/safari which involves mountain climbing,
trekking, rafting or other physically demanding
activity.
Responsibility
and Disclaimer
Airtravel International and Wildlife Safaris,
Kenya, its affiliates and employees act only
as agents for the hotels, airlines, railroads,
tour operators, restaurants, and other pertinent
services. All services are provided by operators
not owned or controlled by Airtravel or Wildlife
Safaris, Kenya.
While all reasonable precautions are taken to
make the tour and safari as safe as possible,
Airtravel International and its agents shall
not be responsible for any injury, loss, damage,
delay or inconvenience arising out of, or in
connection with, any defect in any vehicle or
any act of terrorism, industrial action, thefts,
acts of governments and god, omission, neglect,
accident, error in the provision of any services.
All travel involves some measure of risk, and
all participants are urged to determine this
risk and make a free choice of whether to join
the safari or tour.
